About The Play
A startling, intimate, and fiercely relevant retelling of a woman’s journey through grief, silence, and self-discovery. When Chitra learns of her husband’s death, she glimpses a life beyond marriage — only to have that freedom taken away in an instant.
Bulauwa is a contemporary feminist exploration of identity, desire, and the roles that bind women — asking a question that lingers long after the curtain falls: Can a woman truly exist beyond what society prescribes?
